ART Galerie 7 offers a space for international and contemporary art in the centre of Cologne since March 2003. The gallery was founded by art historian (M.A.) Meike Knüppe, who was previously employed at the international auctioneers Sotheby’s. The main focus lies on figurative, representational painting, which partly appears in a photo-realistic way, sculpture and photographic collages with painterly tendencies.
ART Galerie 7 supports young talents from various art academies, master students of prestigious professors associated with the “Düsseldorf Academy”, as well as established and internationally active artists. In their works, these artists successfully capture the contemporary world by using their individual view on their surroundings and an innovative way of representation.
The gallery presents its artist in regularly changing exhibitions in its own cologne based gallery space, in temporary exhibition spaces and on varying art fairs.
